The installation of decorative and industrial mirrors always requires precision and the use of specialized materials to prevent damage to the mirror’s mercury layer and backing. HiFix Sausage Mirror Silicone Adhesive is a single-component, completely neutral adhesive based on polyurethane elastomers, specially designed for bonding various types of mirrors without causing corrosion.
The sausage-style packaging of this product, typically supplied in a 600 ml volume, is not only cost-effective but also ensures minimal material waste. It is an exceptional and professional choice for large-scale projects and the installation of decorative mirrors over extensive areas.
Features:
Choosing HiFix Sausage Mirror Silicone Adhesive provides interior decoration contractors with numerous technical and economic benefits:
- Protection of the mirror’s mercury layer — completely neutral: Free from acidic substances and harmful solvents that cause blackening and corrosion of the mirror’s backing.
- Excellent initial grab (High Grab): Its high initial setting speed minimizes the need for temporary supports.
- Permanent elasticity and flexibility: After curing, it retains its elasticity and resists vibration as well as the contraction and expansion of the building.
- Economical sausage-style packaging: Larger volume compared with conventional cartridges, reduced plastic waste, and easier application using a sausage-pack adhesive gun.
- Thermal and weather resistance: Maintains its quality and adhesion under temperature fluctuations and in humid environments.
- Odor-free and environmentally friendly: Does not produce an unpleasant odor during application and curing.
Applications:
The use of HiFix Sausage Mirror Silicone Adhesive is not limited to a single surface. Its advanced formulation enables a strong bond in the following applications:
- Installation of decorative and puzzle mirrors: Ideal for bonding decorative mirrors to plastered and painted walls and wooden panels.
- Bonding mirrors to various surfaces: Excellent adhesion to construction materials such as concrete, brick, ceramic, tile, wood, MDF, and metals.
- Humid environments: Suitable for installing mirrors in restrooms, bathrooms, and swimming pools due to its high moisture resistance.
- General applications and sealing: Suitable for elastic joints and sealing applications requiring a neutral, non-acidic adhesive.
Directions for Use:
To achieve the highest level of adhesion and the longest possible service life of the bond, carefully follow the steps below:
- Surface preparation: The surfaces to be bonded, including both the back of the mirror and the wall or substrate, must be completely dry, clean, and free from dust, grease, oil, and moisture.
- Adhesive preparation: Cut the sealed end of the sausage pack with a cutter and place it inside the special gun designed for sausage-pack adhesives. Cut the nozzle according to the desired output volume.
- Application method: Apply the adhesive to the back of the mirror in vertical, parallel lines, leaving approximately 5 to 10 cm between the lines. Important: Never apply the adhesive in spots or closed circles, as air must circulate for the adhesive to cure.
- Mirror installation: Position the mirror accurately and press it against the surface with even hand pressure.
- Temporary fixation: For heavy mirrors, using double-sided tape or temporary mechanical supports for 24 to 48 hours is recommended until the silicone has fully cured.

Expiration Date:
Indicated on the product container. Store in a dry place at a temperature between +5 and +25 °C.
Special Precautions:
- Final curing time: Initial setting usually occurs within the first few minutes; however, deep and final curing of the adhesive, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity, takes between 24 and 72 hours.
- Storage conditions: Store the product in a dry, cool place at a temperature between 5 and 25 °C, away from direct sunlight.
- Application limitations: Do not apply this adhesive to surfaces that are permanently submerged in water. Wear work gloves during use.
- Adhesive cleaning: Uncured adhesive can be removed with special solvents, such as industrial acetone. After curing, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically by scraping.
